The European Commission's Central Library is pleased to announce that the first version of the ECLAS Thesaurus Browser is now available.

To access the thesaurus browser from the catalogue ECLAS ( http://ec.europa.eu/eclas/), select 'ECLAS Thesaurus' from the 'Catalogues' drop-down menu (top right). Then select the 'Browse Thesaurus' link (top left) following the 'Search' and 'My Searches' links.

The first screen displays the 19 top level themes. The explanatory help text at the bottom of this screen indicates how to use the browser.

The thesaurus data and frequency counts are updated every night.

An enhanced version of the browser will be released later this year with improved navigation and thesaurus search facilities.
